Here is the charcoal drawing I did for this months topic over at BlogArtJam. The topic was "obscure retired superheros" so I chose Spaceman Spiff from my favorite comic strip: Calvin and Hobbes.

The first three week session at Art Not is finally over and here's what I ended up with. The photo is kind of disappointing but it gets the point across.

Over the course of three weeks it was interesting (and a little scary) to see how this one drawing changed, since each week I basically had to make a major change in one way or another too keep it interesting. I think I learned a lot and hopefully will be able to apply it to a short-pose drawing.

These are the sketch and colored versions of the world map for Tropix2. Because our map had to communicate 4 or 5 things to the player at once, there was a lot of talk and iteration on this particular screen. Eventually we landed on this solution which seemed like it worked pretty well.

What better way to start things off then with good old Master Chief. This is an old sketch I wanted to eventually color in photoshop but it never happened. It would have been epic though.
